Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct tree inspections in response to internal and external customer enquires relating to City tree assets, such as pruning, removal, health, structure, etc. This will include written correspondence, phone conversations and face to face meeting in order to convey the finding of the inspections.
- Oversee the Annual pruning programme liaising with the Panel of tree contractors and consultants to ensure completion of sector programme within designated time frames. The process will include auditing of trees before and after pruning.
- Accurately document findings of tree inspections, with text and photos, into corporate systems for record keeping and escalation purposes.
- Organise and carry out tree assessments in relation to infrastructure placement in proximity to City tree assets, including documenting of findings and providing detailed reports back to the requestor.
- Initiate and provide solutions to problems that arise from impacts to street trees from development processes or unauthorised activities.

- Certificate III in Horticulture Certificate II in Arboriculture or demonstrated equivalent.
- Advanced skills Advanced skills using Local Government programs e.g. Technology 1, Safer, Roam, Salesforce (RMS), and Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
- Good arboriculture knowledge in association to AS4373 (2007) Pruning of Amenity trees.
- ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
