DUTIES/BACKGROUND OF THE POST - please refer to Job description attached for full description of job role Together with, and under the guidance of, the Consultant Oncologists, the post holder will: a) Undertake inpatient care of oncology and medical patients admitted to our oncology ward (Laurel 2), carrying out daily ward rounds and liaising with Oncology Team on a daily basis. This will include supervision of FY1, liaison with consultants & other medical staff, and carrying out medical interventions. b) Participate in Medical Audit & Clinical Research. c) Participation in Oncology out of hours on call weekend and late rota on a 1:4 basis for full time members of staff d) Educational opportunities to match a Dr in training at this grade e) There will be some cross cover required on occasion on our haematology ward (Laurel 3) at Worcester Royal Hospital.
f) undertake an oncology outpatient clinics on a rota basis with associated patient admin arising from the clinic attendanc
