Description:

The Trust Officer will take direct administrative responsibility for a portfolio of trusts, companies and other wealth structures ensuring that first class service is provided to all clients, intermediaries and other stakeholders. The role holder will work to identify and mitigate risk across their span of control and to work with their colleagues to achieve high standards of client service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Day to day administration of various entities, including incorporation and liquidation of companies, creation and termination of Trusts, drafting minutes
  • Potential client contact, attendance at client meetings with relationship managers
  • Processing expense payments and trust distributions
  • Monitoring and assisting of invoice payments
  • Dealing with all formalities relating to bank-account openings and maintaining good relationships with banks and other third parties, on behalf of clients
  • Preparation of resolutions, minutes of boards of directors and minutes of general meetings, responses to KYC requests
  • Preparation of memorandums and notes on specific transactions on important events related to the life of trusts
  • Set up and onboarding of new clients in the administration system; document fulfilment for KYC and FATCA/ES and CRS related matters, onboarding, preparation of closing binders
  • Risk management process through the identification and reporting of specific risks or risks trends to Senior Management and meet all governance, controls and compliance requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy and procedures

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Very good organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent team player, autonomous and proactive
  • Fluent level of English is required
  • 5-6 years of experience in a similar position in the trust industry at a minimum
  • Experience in dealing with UK res/non dom clients would be beneficial
  • Commitment to high quality professional service levels and desire to get involved in all elements of lifecycle of structure and administration
    Prior experience in a compliance role is a plus.
