Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Recombinant Proteins (REP) Business based in Cranbury, NJ encompasses our Cell Biology Business Unit and Biosciences Division. REP unites deep scientific expertise with a collaborative culture to build a product portfolio that includes cytokines, growth factors, antibodies and ELISA kits used to support the research of our academic, government, biotech, and pharmaceutical customers.
The TSS Manager, East – Recombinant Proteins will manage the development and execution of strategic sales plans for the region, lead the sales team to meet or exceed sales goals and forge strategic partnerships internally and externally to expand the business.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Life Sciences with 5+ years related experience. Previous people leadership experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record to lead a team, set goals and strategize to hit financial targets.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of iPSC research, immunology research, organoid research, cell therapy, recombinant proteins, and other cell culture maintenance products.
  • Significant sales experience within the life sciences including a track record of success as an individual contributor.
  • Knowledge of current cell and gene therapy market and products.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Teams, PowerBI, Salesforce.
  • Ability to analyze financial data using Pivot Tables and other software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to be very agile and good at multitasking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing. Proficiency to read, write, analyze and interpret technical documents. Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and certification requirements preferred, or training will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Recombinant Protein Technical Sales Specialists for East North America
  • Provide technical and sales training
  • Review territory plans quarterly with each TSS
  • Maintain a current Salesforce Opportunity funnel
  • Mentor and proactively provide feedback and coaching for TSS development
  • Analyze financial data on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Help to set and cascade yearly targets, goals and product bags.
  • Create internal training documents and broader presentations for Recombinant Proteins.
  • Partner with Market Development to author functional training materials for training platforms, internal meetings, and yearly conference schedules.
  • Collaborate across the selling organization to promote workflow selling
  • Follow ISO 9001 and GMP guidelines, where applicable.
