Job Description

Join us as a Turbine Technician at our Waubra Wind Farm operation (128 wind turbines generating 192 MW of clean energy). Conduct maintenance on turbines, high voltage systems, and more. Ensure safety standards, contribute to improvements, and maintain maintenance records.

  • Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Carry out routine and emergency maintenance on wind turbines, high voltage systems, and infrastructure to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor Equipment Performance: Track plant and equipment performance, gathering data to boost operational efficiency and enhance maintenance practices.
  • Adhere to HSE Standards: Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, prioritizing safety and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, with a 9-day fortnight schedule. You will be part of an on-call roster once every four weeks (during 7 am – 10 pm unless its an emergency).

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Hold a valid trade Electrical Trade Certificate and a Victorian “A Grade” Electrical License.
  • Previous electrical technician experience within power generation, mining, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Maintain a current driver’s license for manual vehicles.
  • Experience with Wind Turbines, HV Switching, and GWO is highly desirable.
