Insitu has an immediate need for a UAS Operator. Insitu UAS Operators support military and civilian customer operations worldwide delivering superior information through sophisticated UAS systems. This role is supporting our Deployed Operations group. This role will be deploying to austere/non-permissive environments. The role is responsible for:

  • Assist with setting up sites in support of running Insitu unmanned aerial vehicle operations.
  • Conduct pre- and post- flight planning including briefings, weather forecasts, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), Special Instructions (SPINs), airspace requirements, and written reports and logs at the end of the mission.
  • Operates Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) within limited mission profiles.
  • Perform UAS and ground support equipment testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting to resolve any issues by communicating with company subject matter experts (if necessary).
  • Perform and document maintenance actions and inventory reports.
  • Assist with formal mission debriefs enabling customers to make informed decisions

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience. Comparable combination of education and experience, including military.
  • Candidates must be willing to deploy overseas to austere/semi-permissive environments a minimum of four-to-six months at a time.
  • This position requires employees to obtain and maintain a Secret level - DOD security clearance
