Reporting to: UAT Manager
Position Type: Permanent, Mon-Fri, 9-5. Onsite 3 days a week.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE SPECIFICATION:

  • Strong experience as UAT Test Lead; able to formulate an effective, practical but robust UAT plan in a complex environment with multiple platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of testing methodologies and standard test deliverables.
  • Experienced in converting business and IT requirement into testing scenarios.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively across a matrix environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is imperative.
  • Must have cross-functional awareness.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong team management skills, capable of managing a wide group of business end-users.

Responsibilities:

The UAT Lead plays a critical part in the successful delivery of projects. This role is vital in ensuring requirements are met through development & management of UAT test scripts, scenarios and plans for all the workstreams within the project. You will drive the execution, coordination and reporting for UAT testing. You will work closely with the UAT manager to help improve on existing processes, templates, ensuring that UAT is resourced and consistently run for each Project.
Key Responsibilities:

To plan the management, and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for allocated projects where Enterprise Change is involved, including:

  • UAT test plan - Develop a UAT plan for each change to include: -
  • Scope and objectives
  • Specification of test activities
  • Risks, Assumptions, Dependencies
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • UAT Entry and Exit Acceptance criteria
  • Create UAT test scenario packs for Business to Execute
  • UAT status reports, and other feedback as provided from UAT
  • Capture UAT feedback and UAT Lessons learnt Log
  • Management of UAT test data, UAT test environments and loading of test data
  • Triaging with IT teams for Defects, SIT and Change Requests and incl. all UAT defect

    management and resolution activities.
    Performance Objectives:

Be responsible for the design of UAT-

  • Design and prioritise UAT scenarios
  • Ensure appropriate engagement and oversight of testing quality.
  • Manage Test preparation and execution
  • Provide regular UAT progress statistics/reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Obtain required UAT sign-offs and acceptance criteria from business/key stakeholders
  • Provide regular MI in terms of test progress, defects raised/closed, tracking against milestones

Support business change activities-

  • Support go-live (process, system, data etc), by working closely with users
  • Draft and issue communications covering changes made
  • Develop close working relationships with the business stakeholders, Finance Change, 3rd party suppliers, Project teams, Business change, IT delivery and Project office to ensure UAT is planned effectively, and sufficient resource is available to execute testing to the required standards.
