Who we’re looking for
Reporting to the Supervisor – UG Mine Development, this role is responsible for the safe and productive operation of an Underground Development Loader for the purpose of bogging development cuts and loading of trucks from the Underground Mine. The Development loader Operator may also carry out additional tasks as required (e.g. mine services work, charge-up, bogging, service checks).

Key deliverables include, but not limited to:

  • Promote and maintain a culture of ‘safe production’ by compliance with company safety systems, policies, procedures and accountabilities. I.e. FCCCs, JSEA, Prestart inspections, hazcards and audits.
  • Ensure all incidents, near miss and hazards are reported to Shift Supervisor.
  • Undertake specific tasks as directed by the Underground Shift Supervisor.

To be considered applicants require the following skills and experience:

  • Proven track record in promoting and managing safety in the workplace
  • Experience in operating a Development Loader and sound knowledge of underground Metalliferous mining
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues associated with your role
  • Results orientated with a commitment to delivering planned outcomes consistent with ‘Safe Production’
  • BUEL desirable
  • Manual C Class Driver’s License is required

You will possess a passion and drive to ensure high safety standards, be team oriented, as demonstrated by your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
All successful applicants will be required to undertake mandatory police, working rights, qualification (if applicable) and medical checks.
Please note: Fixed term role until 30th November 2025. You will be required to work a 7 days on/7 off/7 nights on/7 off roster (12-hours per day, Thursday – Wednesday). FIFO and DIDO candidates considered.
