About us:
Social Places, a MarTech company based in Century City, Cape Town with a remote-first development work culture, seeks a talented UI/UX Designer to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for crafting user interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also provide a seamless and user-friendly experience for our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or a similar role
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of user interface designs
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles (user research, user flows, information architecture)
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of material design
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear and concise designs
  • A passion for user-centered design
  • Strong knowledge of B2B applications

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with product manager, Scrum Master & developers to translate user needs and business goals into clear and concise UI/UX designs
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user pain points and inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
  • Develop and maintain a consistent design language for our platform
  • Ensure designs adhere to accessibility best practices (WCAG)
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest UI/UX trends and technologies
  • Assist in feature scoping
