ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field or equivalent.
• Evidenced knowledge and working background in UI/UX design, with a focus on web and mobile applications preferably in the fintech/payments/banking industry.
• Experience with UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
• Experience with usability testing and user research.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with back-end development would be an advantage.
• Experience designing native code apps would be an advantage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are now recruiting for a UI/UX Designer to join our great Product Team.
The role is based in scenic Herefordshire in our Hereford Campus. Whilst the role will be predominantly performed from the office, the team operate hybrid working on an informal basis.
We’re looking for a great UI/UX designer to support in delivering our company’s product design vision and implementation.
We believe that great UI/UX designers are like wizards, able to conjure up digital experiences that are both enchanting and effortless. They possess a keen eye for detail, understanding that even the smallest design choices can have a huge impact on user behaviour. They expertly blend user needs with business goals to create a delightful and satisfying user experience. They are also great listeners, taking the time to truly understand their users’ wants and needs and, using that insight, craft intuitive and engaging interfaces. Ultimately, great UI/UX designers use their powers of design to save users from the clutches of frustration and confusion.

You will join a friendly, professional and driven team and will be reporting to the Senior UI/UX Designer.

Within this role some of your key duties will include:

• Collaborating with designers, product managers, and developers through all aspects of the design process and work to identify user and business needs to ensure a high-quality implementation.
• Support research and insight projects, working closely with all stakeholders to understand end user motivations and requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the product team and the wider business to create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for web and mobile applications, ensuring products and feature updates meet business goals and user needs.
• Assist with conducting usability testing and user research to validate design decisions and ensure that the user experience for allpay’s customers is as intuitive, efficient and satisfying as possible across all web and mobile applications.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in UX design and development and incorporate them into your work.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the allpay design system and component library.
