Description:

We are looking for a strong, pragmatic business thinker with seasoned field marketing experience to lead the Central Marketing Organisation (CMO) in the UK Subsidiary. UK Chief Marketing Officer reports to Microsoft UK’s COO.
The Central Marketing Organisation (CMO) inspires, acquires, and engages Microsoft customers & partners by driving integrated marketing strategy and plans to achieve business growth objectives. CMO accelerates the region’s growth agenda by driving customer centric, digitally connected integrated marketing plans aligned to global Marketing strategy and standardised marketing engines. CMO drives connected customer experiences and data driven storytelling, creating Microsoft brand love, and enabling sellers to deliver revenue.
As the leader of the Central Marketing Organisation in the UK, you are responsible for accelerating the growth agenda through driving global solution plays and building complimentary, integrated marketing campaigns that delight our customers and partners in the UK. The UK Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for the UK’s marketing transformation, driving connected, relevant customer experiences, creating marketing signals to enable sales, modelling talent stewardship and creating a culture where teams can do their best work. You will lead a cross-functional marketing team of integrated marketing, event marketing, social/digital marketing, marketing operations and marketing analytics experts responsible for integrated marketing programmes to support business objectives. Besides working with your region leadership team, your professional partnership and network extends to Microsoft Corporate Headquarters and the EMEA marketing team. You lead your team to maximise local marketing investments by leveraging global strategy and standardised marketing execution aligned to business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a strong business thinker with deep marketing understanding, a courageous leader skilled to lead field marketers and engender trust among sales leaders, and a rapid adopter, taking and sharing leading practices from around the world. You must enjoy ongoing challenges in this multi-faceted, leadership role that combines strong agility and pragmatism, business thinking, marketing thought leadership and marketing operations excellence. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND strong years marketing leadership including, team management, integrated marketing experience (e.g., campaign planning and execution, digital marketing), event management, program management, marketing operations (including campaign reporting and analysis), or related work experience OR equivalent experience.

ADDITIONAL/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a global international role is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the technology market in particular cloud and AI, its dynamics and competitive landscape
