Responsibilities:

IN A NUTSHELL, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Working closely with the Global New Product Development (NPD) and wider Engineering function, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of strategic projects into manufacturing via the development and delivery of detailed inter-dependency and timing plans, incorporating all major project milestones and critical paths such as manufacture, build prototype, validation and testing of brassware product launches.

FOR THIS ROLE WE WOULD NEED YOU TO DEMONSTRATE:

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Product Development within Manufacturing and / or Process Engineering, Prototype Machine build and test environment.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of product launch processes and experience in the implementation of the Core Quality Tools: Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Working experience within a technical product production environment.
  • Experience with CAD (Solidworks / Creo) and the ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerancing, including experience in GD&T.
  • Good analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as the drive to learn and develop own skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong aptitude for hands-on engineering.

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level within a relevant discipline.
  • PRINCE2, APM, or PMP trained.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or above.
  • Experience within procurement, maintenance, and knowledge of relevant standards including BSi, ASME and other National Standards.
  • Advanced Manufacturing Technology and Systems Planning and Implementation.
  • An understanding of UK HSE regulations (IOSH Trained).
