ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is starting their underwriting journey in the commercial space. If you have the right attitude with some experience in broad range of commercial underwriting, then we are interested in your application. You will be:

• A natural communicator with the ability to form business partnering relationships.
• Demonstrate basic underwriting
• Appetite to learn and be confident in knowing and doing the right thing within QBE values and systems.
• Ability to negotiate & influence.
• Be analytical and enjoy problem-solving.

• Demonstrate nous in complex underwriting, experience with large authority delegations & managing senior brokering relationships.

Our Underwriters have a broad range of responsibilities, including relationship management with their brokers and underwriting for their property portfolio. They enjoy versatility and will be:

• Contributing to the overall strategy, planning an execution of policies, product plan and outcomes of complex portfolio balance
• Underwrite risk business in accordance with the business plan, guidelines within individual earned or delegated underwriting authority.
• Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Provide oversight and support to achieve growth via quotes, renewals, policy maintenance, problem solving and relationship building with intermediaries.
