Description:

UNDERWRITING ACCOUNT PERFORMANCE MANAGER

  • A high-profile, strategic role that is pivotal to the success of our sustainable, profitable growth.
  • A unique opportunity to contribute to the continued evolution of the team’s focus and strategic role within the department.
  • Hybrid role with 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Responsibilities:

As a result of an internal promotion, we’re seeking an experienced Performance Manager to join our Head Office Underwriting and Pricing Department. This is a pivotal role in driving the financial success of NFU Mutual by leading a team dedicated to defining and managing profit targets, fostering sustainable growth, and ensuring the effective execution of our financial objectives.
As our Performance Manager, you’ll lead, support, and empower the Performance team to identify, explore and recommend management action designed to achieve or improve the financial performance of the business by challenging the status quo through the Underwriting Account Management across all products and NFU Mutual’s General Insurance governance structures. You’ll also lead projects and actions through cross-functional teams that support our evolution of underwriting data and analytical capability.
You’ll act as an independent voice of underwriting performance when briefing senior management on performance trends and insights, building relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders, including Pricing, Marketing, Propositions, Sales, Agency, and Financial Planning teams to ensure effective collaboration and engagement in the achievement of commercial objectives.
Collaborating closely with the Data Centre of Excellence, you’ll lead efforts to transition to cloud-based data solutions, unlocking new possibilities for data storage, processing and analytics. This transition will enhance the scalability and flexibility of our data infrastructure and will also pave the way for more advanced analytics capabilities to support effective strategic decision-making.
