ABOUT YOU

  • Expert in depth knowledge and experience servicing International Programs;
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of work autonomously;
  • Proven ability to lead and influence junior members of a team;
  • Proven ability to act as a technical referral point in relation to International Business;
  • Previous Insurance experience (minimum 3-5 years) required, ideally with some exposure to underwriting;
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in order to determine and communicate recommendations to customers;
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently analyse data following established processes and procedures;
  • A strong team player with ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity;
  • Solutions and results oriented individual with an ability to multi-task;
  • Strong service and client orientation; and
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and the Internet. Experience with Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Nitro PDF, MS Project, and Business Objects would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Corporate Solutions International Program Operations team is looking for an Underwriting Analyst to provide Program Management Services on all Captive Accounts and allocated Complex Accounts from their International Portfolio.
You will manage the end to end process in accordance with the International Program Guidelines on International Accounts, and will work with International Program Operations to ensure that all administrative activities in connection with global programs are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the focal point for all technical matters arising on International insurance programs and ensure all Underwriting Associates are fully aware of and in compliance with all internal and external regulations on all accounts serviced by the local International Program Department;
  • Build strong relationships with Clients and their brokers and become the focal and contact point for all service matters relating to their accounts;
  • Work closely with Customer and Distribution Managers, and Underwriters to assist on winning new business acquisitions including associated business support activities.
  • Prepare timely processing instructions to the International Program Service Unit, Credit Control, Reinsurance and local offices, so that premiums can be debited and policies issued promptly, ensuring accurate policy records are maintained on Swiss Re Corso systems; and
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and other Corporate Solutions departments to ensure resolution of accounting and processing problems.
