HDI Global Specialty’s focus is on writing agency and specialty insurance business with operations in 9 locations and access to a global network of more than 175 countries through the HDI Global SE network. HDI Global Specialty also enjoys the same financial strength as HDI Global SE.
This role is working within a newly created “Single Risk Operations” function. The function brings together our existing “Technical Operations” function with the Underwriting Assistants from within our Single Risk Underwriting Teams. The team consists of hubs who are each responsible for various lines of business and we also have a central “Technical Operations” team.
This is an exciting time to join to help carve out the future of the team. The Single Risk Operations hubs are closely aligned with the Underwriting Teams and these relationships are key. We are looking for someone that will be enthusiastic about supporting this strategy and will be open to providing their thoughts and input.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience within an insurance role. Knowledge of Aviation or Mining business is desired but not essential.
- Knowledge of the London Market.
- Intermediate MS Office skills – Outlook, Excel.
- A-level or equivalent or higher.
- Working towards CII qualifications or similar industry recognised qualifications is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- The Underwriting Operations Analyst will provide Operational services as part of the “Transportation & Mining” hub. This operational hub works very closely with the Single Risk Aviation, Space & Mining Team Underwriters working within the London Office.
- Providing Pre-Bind and Post-Bind support to our Underwriters
- Work with the Operations team to help refine the support that we are providing to our Underwriting teams and transforming the way we provide this to ensure high levels of efficiency and service
