Job Description

Responsibilities:

This position is embedded in the Underwriting Operations department, whose objective is to ensure the timely and accurate administration of assumed and ceded reinsurance contracts, as well as register and maintain business partner data in PartnerRe’s core reinsurance systems, for and on behalf of the non-life Underwriters teams.

The Underwriting Operations Analyst is in Dublin and is part of a team of 9 people in Dublin and France. The following are the tasks:

  • Support various Underwriting Business Units with data entry in SICS for reinsurance programs, including liaising with the Underwriters.
  • Ensure that reinsurance data is captured accurately and timely in our core reinsurance applications (SICS, Phoenix, Underwriting Operations Workflow Queue) throughout a contract’s life cycle.
  • Support the Underwriting Team with various processes, such as renewal tracking, provisional notice of cancellation, and comparing wording or contract signatures.
  • Registration and maintenance of business partner data.
  • Ensure the filing of reinsurance-related documentation is according to guidelines.
  • Perform reviews and updates following data quality checks for quarterly closing or Stakeholders.
  • Coordinate any requests or questions from internal Stakeholders about data entrance

Qualifications
About you:

To succeed in this role, you own the following skills.

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent college diploma in a relevant discipline (i.e. Commerce, Finance, Business)
  • Work experience in reinsurance underwriting operations (Underwriting assistance and/or reinsurance technical accounting and/or claims management) or insurance/reinsurance specialization in the course of studies for a beginner.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (advanced capabilities in excel, power query and power BI is an asset)
  • Think analytically and creatively to structure and raise ideas to contribute to the best fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Experience in project and process management is an asset
  • Strong service and client orientation
  • Quick learner, motivated to understand complex topics
  • Ability to adapt to changes and meet deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and work well under minimal supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills, proficient in English
  • Strong collaboration across multiple jurisdictions and a team spirit
