YOUR ROLE:

The primary purpose of this role is to oversight, coordinate and further develop the Underwriting Program across Australia and New Zealand. Supporting the P&C Underwriting Operations Manager in managing the Underwriting Framework is fit for purpose in training and developing the underwriting capability; and that Underwriting staff as provided with a consistent environment across the various products, branches and segments to ensure they are effectively undertaking appropriate tasks to ensure end-to-end service level metrics are maintained and provided to the relevant Distribution and Segment Managers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Objectives:
Undertake continuous improvement of processes, learning and development outcomes, workforce analytics, and maximise efficiencies and undertake change management as applicable.
Assist/ lead special projects as required.

Build relationships with Business leaders through proactive, open and frequent communication.

• Champion excellence in customer experience across the Underwriting group and more broadly for both internal and external customers
• Implement procedures and controls to ensure the Underwriting group adheres to relevant legislation and regulations.

Occupational Health & Safety

• Accountable for taking all practical measures to ensure that the workplace and persons under their control are safe and without risk to health.
• 4 years + in general insurance experience
• 2 years + in a UA/UW role
• 2 years’ experience in working with offshore teams
• Strong proficiency in the use of MS Office
• Thorough understanding of general insurance/Financial Services administration business
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of functionality of PRISM and other related systems and procedures (preferred)
• Experience in two or more lines of business – preferably within Chubb business (Strongly Desired)
