About The Role:

  • As a CBRE Union Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • What You’ll Do:
  • Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Complete upkeep and repair records as required.
  • Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems. Troubleshoot and repair installed systems including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout facility. This includes cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Maintain property grounds by performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal.
  • Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet goal dates.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to use existing procedures to tackle standard problems.
Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Mechanic position is $90,438.40 annually [or $43.48 per hour]. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
