Description:

We Are Hiring:

  • Department: Surgery Recovery Room
  • Schedule: Full Time Days 40 hours a week position rotating between 5:30A-2P and 6A-2:30P
  • Hospital: Ascension Borgess Hospital
  • Location: Kalamazoo, MI

What You Will Do:

Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area.

  • Greet patients and visitors, answer general inquiries, and schedule patients for appointments.
  • Answer, screen, and route telephone calls. Perform general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Create various reports and documents.
  • Communicate with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.
  • Perform unit safety checks. Assist with meeting patient needs and escalate as appropriate.
  • May enter and maintain timekeeping changes and staff schedules.
  • May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly.

What You Will Need:

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:
Medical Office experience preferred.
