The Role:
As a Unity Programmer at our client’s PC gaming studio, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge games and interactive experiences for PC platforms. Leveraging your expertise in Unity programming, you will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to bring game concepts to life. In the heart of Vancouver’s gaming hub, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that push the boundaries of gaming technology and captivate players around the world. This role has a hybrid work model with Monday’s mandatory in office.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement gameplay features, systems, and mechanics using Unity and C#.
  • Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate game assets and optimize performance.
  • Debug and troubleshoot code to ensure smooth gameplay experiences.
  • Implement UI elements, animations, and special effects to enhance player immersion.
  • Optimize game performance for PC platforms, ensuring smooth frame rates and load times.
  • Stay updated with the latest Unity features and best practices in game development.
  • Work closely with QA testers to identify and address bugs and issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Unity game development, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language and Unity game engine.
  • Experience in Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch Platforms.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles and gameplay mechanics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for gaming and staying updated with industry trends.
