Description:

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Association Montessori International (AMI) Elementary Guide(Teacher) to join St.Mary’s Montessori School for our class of 6 to 12 year olds. As an AMI Elementary Guide (Teacher), you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning environment and guiding students through their formative years using Montessori principles.

Qualifications:

  • AMI Elementary diploma and certification (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred).
  • Must be willing to follow Elementary Montessori Method, and potentially become certified through Association Montessori International for Upper Elementary
  • Proven experience as a Montessori Elementary Guide, demonstrating a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage classroom activities, assessments, and administrative tasks.
  • Passion for nurturing children’s curiosity and fostering a love for learning.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment that encourages independent learning and exploration.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with Montessori principles and the AMI curriculum, catering to the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
  • Foster a supportive and respectful classroom atmosphere, promoting social and emotional growth among students.
  • Observe and assess individual student progress, providing personalized guidance and interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents, and school administration to ensure effective communication and holistic development of students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, reports, and assessments.
  • Participate in regular professional development opportunities to enhance Montessori expertise and teaching methods.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $5,375.00 - $6,000.00 per month
