Description:
Overview:
The User Experience team is seeking a UX Business Intelligence Analyst. Reporting to the Director of User Experience, the UX Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for generating, staging, and analyzing user experience data, deriving and displaying insights in an appealing and impactful way, and implementing business intelligence solutions to enable continuous monitoring and self-service UX analytic capabilities.
You will also be responsible for learning about usability principles, assisting with and conducting project usability evaluations, coordinating and executing user & community engagements, and developing User Experience learning content and curriculum. Your work will lead to improvements in the quality and digital wellbeing of our Emory user base. You will work closely under the guidance of our User Experience Solutions Architect, and collaboratively with other teams across other departments on data analysis, knowledge sharing, and project development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, UX Design, Business Analytics or a related discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in business analytics
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel and PowerBI for data visualization and analysis
- A strong interest in usability and user experience principles
- An interest in leveraging cutting-edge Large Language Models and Artificial Intelligence systems for data analytics to uncover recurring themes, patterns, and insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated experience drawing connections from data and visualizing outcomes
- Experience with UX design principles and UX research methodologies is preferable
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and workflows and/or experience with Epic is preferable
Responsibilities:
- Support the organization’s vision, mission and goals by developing comprehensive approaches to project evaluations, data analysis, and reporting of user experience.
- Work with a variety of tools (e.g. PowerBI, SQL, Excel, Epic, PowerApps, PowerPoint, etc.) to access and stage data, drive analysis, create reports, dashboards, and tools, and present findings on user experience impacts.
- Apply best practices for analyzing, visualizing, and reporting on rich, conversational qualitative data derived from innovative digital surveying, interviewing, and workflow-observation technologies as well as detailed quantitative data via utilization logs, system performance data, and numerical survey questions.
- Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders and community champions to perpetuate a culture of user-centric design and analysis among Emory’s digital efforts.
- Support the development, modification, and validation of new metrics as needed.
- Regularly assess key UX performance indicators (KPIs) and provide timely reports and recommendations for optimizing UX.
- Maintain working relationship with key partners across Digital, Informatics, and Analytics to ensure alignment/adherence with enterprise processes and policies.
- Continuously improve upon the User Experience program through program workshops, retrospectives, and subject matter research.
- Drive user-centric education forward through continued learning and teach-backs, along with opportunities for large audience presentations.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
