DESCRIPTION

In a laboratory, patient care unit, and/or surgical setting, performs noninvasive diagnostic vascular studies using ultrasound imaging and non-imaging physiological instrumentation. Proficient at writing preliminary reports for placement in the electronic medical chart immediately following each exam and in presenting diagnostic findings to referring healthcare providers. This position may also involve working at and travel between Swedish Health Services hospitals and clinics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of training program accredited by the American Medical Association – Committee on Allied Health education (AMA-CAHEA) for vascular ultrasound.
• National Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 6 months of Internship in vascular scanning experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Vascular Ultrasound or equivalent educ/experience
• 2 years of Vascular scanning experience.
