Vehicle Operations Engineer (f/m/d)
location: Ulm Start: ab sofort

Tasks:

  • Be in charge of test and demonstration vehicles after commissioning, and before/after test & validation activities
  • Provide transparency of the vehicle status. Define necessary activities and reasonable deadlines to maintain vehicle availability in required condition
  • Act as “flying doctor” vehicle commissioning, test & validation as well as marketing including but not limited to vehicle handling, failure reporting, problem resolution and maintenance
  • Plan, coordinate and track any hardware or software changes on vehicles
  • Troubleshoot and analyze low voltage electrical/electronic and mechanical issues, using documentation, instrumentation, and input from the engineer
  • Thoroughly and efficiently document issues and support root cause investigations
  • Handling electric and hybrid vehicles, incl. HV safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of experience in vehicle operations, technical assistance and field test activities. Experience as a flying doctor is a plus.
  • Truck or Automotive Testing Experience; FCEV and/or BEV is a plus.
  • Experience with automotive/OEM diagnose tools and CAN tools (Vector CANape, ETAS INCA, etc.)
  • Certification of HV training.
  • Availability for regular business trips, mainly within Europe
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols and electrical architectures
  • Good understanding of system/component design/development processes
  • Good communication and time management skills
