Description:

Do you have a strong customer service background in a vehicle focused environment, or have you worked in a claims handling position before? We would love to hear from you!
Starting salary between £23,900 to £27,300 (depending on hours, skills and experience) plus additional benefits
Our standard full time contracts are for 35 hours per week, but we want you to have the flexibility to increase your working hours if it suits you, so we also offer the option for a 40 hour contract following your team leader’s approval.
These are permanent roles and will involve shift patterns covering the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm (Monday – Friday). Training will be provided and you will work in the office full time until your leader has approved Smart Working.
A bit about the job
As a Vehicle Valuation Expert, you will be responsible for managing settlement of claims where the vehicle has been deemed a Total Loss. This will include valuing the vehicle, taking into consideration the current market, investigating ownership including any outstanding finance, and liaising with engineers or suppliers on complex cases. It will be important for you to consider Aviva’s indemnity spend whilst treating the customer fairly and providing a smooth claim journey. You will need to work proactively to manage a caseload, keeping customers informed and providing a fantastic customer service.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Ability to fact find and analyse claim information to identify discrepancies.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and prioritising responsibilities
  • Embrace and supports change, matched with the ability to share ideas and suggestions to improve the customer journey
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral
  • An interest in vehicles - experience in vehicle valuation and/or claims (desirable)
