Description:

Overview:
The Vendor Coordinator will play a key role in the formation and execution of a robust Vendor Management Program through centralizing processes. This role will be responsible for establishing standard processes for New Vendor Evaluation, Vendor Inactivation and performing other various daily functions related to Vendor Master, PO Transmission, Location, Data, credentialing portal access management and Reporting requests.The team member will work closely with the vendors, DPS, business owners, vendor management specialist(s), strategic sourcing and A/P on an as needed basis.A successful Vendor Coordinator is dedicated to exceeding expectations. They will also represent the organization in an honest, ethical and professional manner and encourage others to do so by demonstrating professionalism to support a culture of integrity within the team/unit.

Qualifications:

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Experience: Minimum two years Supply Chain or ERP system maintenance experience, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): A high level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access). Comfortable using various software packages. Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Acute attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent reporting and organization skills. Strong analytical skills. Critical thinker and problem solver. Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision. Effective decision maker with ability to exercise independent judgement in a wide range of scenarios. Ability to manage challenging relationships (internal and external) and drive results using available resources. Ability to build positive and effective relationships. Responds to requests and resolves in a timely manner. Ability to write procedure manuals/training documentation/flow charts and assist management with the coaching, training and development of the team. Commitment to quality. Ability to work under pressure in achieving tight deadlines. Supports the development of a Vendor Management Program and its success. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Aptitude for fostering positive relationships. Demonstrate strong ability to work within a team environment. Lead and facilitate productive discussions with staff, stakeholders and vendors to achieve a consensus in a professional manner. Recognize and explain the need for compromise. Pre-empt and minimize conflict. Act to prevent and report misconduct, illegal and inappropriate behavior.
