This position will co-ordinate the procurement, deployment and administration of endpoint devices and contract services that will help support improvements in processes, efficiencies, and enablement of teams 30%
This position will have responsibility for lifecycle management of relevant equipment and enterprise agreements to ensure clarity on ownership, availability, quality of service and cost control 20%
Escalation and risk management 15%
Update logs, prepare reports and submit to management 25%
This position will perform special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures 10%

Key responsibilities and authority

  • Verify needs, authorizations and initiate the procurement process.
  • Create purchase requisitions.
  • Support of endpoint devices and software purchase contracts and communication with resellers and vendors.
  • Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals from vendors and contractors.
  • Discuss evaluations and review with requesters and subject matter experts.
  • Provide pricing quotes for items and preparing orders with suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships per state procurement rules.
  • Tracking contract renewal dates and initiating renewal processes.
  • Coordinate with selected vendors on supply and delivery of purchased items.
  • Identifying and managing computing contracts consolidation opportunities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar position for at least 2 years. (flexible)
  • Experience with service administration portals to monitor deployments and warranties.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, and differences in conditions for different countries.
  • Deep knowledge in dealing with global vendors and resellers.
  • Understanding of IT asset management principles and practices.
  • Experience in auditing from vendors.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management is preferred.
  • Proven experience in vendor management in an IT setting.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
