JOB DESCRIPTION

The Health & Wellness team is looking for an exceptional Vendor Manager to drive growth in the category across Europe. With a focus on customer experience, performance, and vendor relationships, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing zooplus’ standing. Your strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and proactive approach will directly impact the business by optimizing vendor interactions, expanding the catalog, and resolving operational issues.

As a Vendor Manager, you will:

  • Own the category’s performance factors (selection, pricing, availability, etc.)
  • Collaborate with local teams to develop and execute product range strategies
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships and contracts
  • Drive growth through market analysis and customer-focused initiatives
  • Collaborate with vendors to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
  • Analyze metrics and customer feedback for insights
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and knowledge sharing
  • Cultivate expertise and contribute to team development
  • Efficient assortment management along the whole product lifecycle.
  • Support project management for intra-functional projects as well as smaller cross-functional projects.
  • Seek opportunities to develop deeper or multiple areas of expertise; share knowledge in and outside of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree in a business-related discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience with a track record delivering results in Category Management, Vendor Management, or Purchasing, ideally in retailing/e-commerce or the pet industry; experience working with pharma products is considered an advantage.
  • Strong influencing abilities and experience in the development of sourcing channels and multi-national stakeholders
  • Experience in project work based on excellent analytical and strategic thinking and ability to structure complex facts
  • Ability to unlock complex issues and to work proactively on proposals, solution thinking
  • Ability to understand customer needs and market requirements to enhance the customer experience
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating
  • Product and industry knowledge in pet, retail, FMCG or pharma industry
  • Proficient MS-Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
