Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Vendor Manager to join our team in our Subiaco Head Office.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and continually improving our framework for delivering excellence in Vendor partners, enabling our operations to deliver projects that benefit our clients, communities, shareholders and wider stakeholder group. You will engage with leaders across all business units and manage relationships at varying levels.
The role requires critical thinking and the ability to negotiate terms and conditions that are within the Group’s risk appetite, actively seek improvements in our expenditure and promote the sourcing and procurement of Vendors aligned with our strategic direction including Environmental, Social and Governance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing and overseeing our Vendor Governance Framework.
  • Managing key vendor relationships and ensuring rigorous compliance.
  • Negotiating and renewing contractual terms in strict adherence to our risk parameters.
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to optimize purchasing opportunities.
  • Proactively engaging with SRG Global Business Units on vendor profiles and expenditure.
  • Conducting periodic vendor audits to guarantee compliance with legal and regulatory mandates.
  • Aggregating and presenting pertinent data for comprehensive company reporting.

    The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce/Economics or an equivalent qualification is desired, alternatively considerable experience in high volume vendor management roles.

  • Experience in a similar role or suitable procurement, commercial or supply chain role.
  • Previous experience working within a construction, mining or industrial services industry (desirable).
  • Extensive experience negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Have a thorough understanding of how relevant legislation interacts with the procurement process.
