Could you be the full-time hybrid Verification and Test Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we’re looking for?

Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive and specialized expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing the reliability and performance of mass transit railway systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Quality Assurance, Project Management), participate in reviews and recommend improvements, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Creating test specifications based on analysis of requirements, architecture, and interface specifications,
  • Executing tests in virtual machines and laboratory environments and identifying issues,
  • Identifying anomalies, evaluating these in risk (impact) terms, recording and communicating them,
  • Setting up, updating, and maintaining the test labs for various hardware and software configurations,
  • Developing software verification and test plans using Microsoft Office tools,
  • Managing the verification process (review, integration, and testing) and providing a Verification Report,
  • Participating in requirements, architecture, design, and code reviews and recommend improvements,
  • Interfacing with internal customers and leading project testing activities, including attending meetings

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.,
  • Experience or understanding of software testing and verification in a highly regulated industry.,
  • Knowledge of C and C# programming languages.,
  • Experience and knowledge of DOORS is an asset.
  • Experience and knoweldge of IBM Jazz suite (EWM/RTC and ETM/RQM) is an asset.
  • Experience with the Python programming language and its main libraries.
  • Experience in Network configuration as related to setup of simulators requiring IP communication is an asset
  • Familiarity with software requirements, data, and code verification processes.,
  • Experience with test specification creation and test execution in virtual and laboratory environments.,
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and communicate risks associated with anomalies.,
  • Proficiency in setting up, updating, and maintaining test labs for various hardware and software configurations.,
  • Capability to interface with internal customers and lead project testing activities
