Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer is responsible for planning, conducting and documenting Verification activities with particular respect to verification of mechanical and automotive systems. Responsibilities also include delivery of contract deliverables including VCRMs, test procedures and reports.

Some key areas of responsibility in this role will include:

  • Manage the delivery of contractually required V&V activities and artefacts to project schedules;
  • Prepare and maintain the Verification Cross Reference Matrix to define and record all verification activities conducted on vehicle or module mission systems;
  • Deliver Verification Programs in accordance with the approved Verification Plans and Systems Engineering Management Plan;
  • Manage and execute V&V testing:
  • Develop and implement test plans;
  • Develop test procedures;
  • Prepare Test articles;
  • Conduct test and manage support staff;
  • Complete formal reports.
  • Track and report (to senior management) on the overall status of compliance against the Contract Specification requirements;
  • Prepare and present V&V status reports for internal status reviews;
  • Prepare and present V&V data for Mandated System Review activities; and
  • Support systems and design engineering efforts for design and development.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical) or a related discipline;
  • Experience in conducting complex military vehicle or automotive test programs, including the capacity to develop verification plans and develop verification procedures and verification reports;
  • Experience in interpreting complex engineering function and performance specifications, and a capacity to identify existing technical solutions to meet these specifications;
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally if required; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship)
