Job Purpose
The IT Business Relationship Management team are seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our team to support & enhance vessel operations. The intern will assist with ensuring smooth and efficient technological operations aboard our vessels and connected operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop practical IT skills in a unique operational environment.
Key Interactions
Internally: Peers in Global IT organization & Global Business Colleagues, Vessel crew and VSO Organisation.
Externally: External operators, service providers and suppliers.

Main Activities
o Create and maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
o Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
o Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment onboard vessels.
o Act as point of escalation from business.
o Assist in maintaining and monitoring onboard communication systems, including satellite communications.
o Help ensure reliable connectivity between vessels and shore-based operations.
o Contribute to IT projects aimed at improving vessel operations and efficiency.
o Collaborate with the IT and vessel operations teams on various initiatives.
o Evaluate new or innovative technologies and architectures.
o Produce user guides as required and ensure other team members and business associates are fully trained in the procedures.
o Resolution of service desk requests as necessary & hardware support.
o Any other duties prescribed by BRM Senior Manager.
