Maximus is currently hiring for Veteran Liaison Officers to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a hybrid position that requires you to work both onsite at our Houston, TX location as well as remotely. The Veteran Liaison Officer is responsible for addressing all Veteran clients’ concerns, disputes, scheduling requests, and issues that may arise throughout the course of handling VA- requested Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams. Educate veterans on VES and VA procedures and resolve potential problems. Respond to negative feedback from Veterans and/or Providers. Respond to feedback/follow ups via email or follow up calls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Receive incoming calls directly from upset veterans; - Receive incoming calls transferred from the call center; - Process exam cancellations; - Review pending no- show cases and processes them accordingly; - Coordinate and processes reschedules as necessary; - Review AMTIS Survey cards and follow up with veteran if necessary; - Communicate with potentially violent veterans; and - Communicate with potentially homicidal and/or suicidal Veterans. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: - Setup transportation, to and from VES C&P exams (in accordance with VA contractual guidelines), for severely disabled Veterans; - Assists other VES departments as necessary; - Update status for pending no- show cases; - Removing/editing no- show letters posted in error; and - Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Advanced verbal and interpersonal skills; - Advanced written communication skills, to include excellent grammar; - Advanced reading and comprehension abilities; - Advanced analytical skills and detail- oriented; - Advanced multi- tasking skills; - Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with strong ability to meet strict deadlines; - Proficient typing skills; and - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, general internet research, and beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Preferred Windows or Mac (no Chromebooks)
o OS for Windows - Windows 10 or newer
o OS for Mac - Big Sur (11.0.1+); Catalina (10.15); MacOS (up to 12.5) or newer
- Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
- USB plug and play wired headset with a microphone and noise suppression
- Private work area and adequate power source
- A second monitor is highly recommended for most positions
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Military Service; 2. High School diploma or GED required.
