Description:

A great opportunity has arisen for an associate veterinarian to join a privately-owned, well-equipped, A-class practice in northwest Sydney.
In this role, you will work alongside an amazing team of seven with varying levels of experience, some having worked at the practice for over ten years. There are 3-4 vets rostered on each day across consulting and surgery. Vets benefit from a high nurse-to-vet ratio, dedicated receptionists, and a practice manager. The management team is supportive of personal and professional growth.
The director attends the practice twice weekly to perform/assist with complex and orthopaedic surgeries, and the team see regular visits from specialists for in-house management of complex surgical and medical cases, allowing vets to keep cases in-house wherever possible.
Clients are great and have a commitment to high levels of care, allowing vets to thoroughly work up cases and treat as required.
The team are encouraged to grow and improve their skills with continuing education.
The ideal candidate for the role will be a clear communicator, possessing the ability to connect with clients. Applicants must be competent and thorough and working up medical cases, and have experience in routine and soft-tissue surgeries.
Full time vets work a four-day week and 1:5 weekends. There are no after-hours requirements.

Sponsorship (work visa) is available for suitable overseas candidates in a full-time role. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The team practices a high standard of medicine and surgery with a full range of surgical, radiology, dental and laboratory equipment. The purpose-built clinic is computerised with RxWorks.
Located in Sydney’s north-western suburbs, the practice is in a modern, family-friendly area surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shops and amenities. The area is now accessible by the new Metro train line, allowing faster connections to Sydney’s CBD.
