Description:

BLUEPEARL PET HOSPITAL IS SEEKING A DEDICATED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN TO OVERSEE STERILE PROCESSING IN OUR SURGERY TEAM!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.
  • Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.
  • Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs
  • Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.
  • Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
  • Performs physical exam; accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous
  • Ability to take patient through entire procedure from start to finish (pre-op, monitoring, post-op, and recovery)
