We are pleased to be recruiting internally & externally for a full-time permanent VIC Patient Services Lead to join the Oncology Australia Operations team.
In this role you will partner with the state Oncology practices providing leadership and support for the consistent high performance of the Patient Services Oncology functions across the network.

More specifically, you will:

  • Work closely with the practices to drive operational & project initiatives in the Patient Services space
  • Oversee and ensure consistent implementation across the practices of systems, new & standardised processes and workflows relating to the Oncology function.
  • Partner with the National Patient Services team to implement National Patient Services onboarding, training, and competency frameworks to be inclusive of all Oncology functions.
  • Providing regular training and upskilling opportunities for new & existing staff
  • Work in conjunction with Project Managers and Centre Leaders on new sites to provide direction and delivery on training plans for new staff members.
  • Partner with the Centre Leaders and Senior Patient Services staff to support the recruitment and performance functions of the Oncology Patient Services teams.
  • Provide active subject matter expertise and troubleshooting support to all sites within your state remit.

  • Be an administrator with exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Have demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of 2 or more staff
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Be proactive, anticipate needs and action accordingly
  • Bring a positive, enthusiastic, and ‘can-do’ attitude to work,
  • Resonate with the high performance GenesisCare culture, role modelling behaviours
  • Have a strong passion for patient care and healthcare, with empathy for patients and their carers
  • Have high level Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds
  • Display the ability to use clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software for data analysis and reporting purposes
  • Display a strong commitment to developing others through implementing effective performance management and development processes and providing staff with ongoing feedback and performance coaching.
