Position Overview
The VP, Business Operations, North America, is a highly visible and strategic role, serving as a trusted advisor and right-hand to the President. This role requires exceptional organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to run complex projects and priorities. The VP, Business Operations will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across the NA region, and supporting the President in achieving the company’s strategic goals.
Essential Job Functions
Strategic Counsel and Decision Support:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the President, providing objective counsel and strategic insights.
- Anticipate potential issues, identify risks, and propose proactive solutions.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare briefings to support informed decision-making.
Executive Communications and Stakeholder Management:
- Work with the President’s executive assistant to coordinate the President’s calendar.
- Drive the preparation of comprehensive briefing materials and presentations.
- Facilitate effective communication between the President and internal/external partners, including the Board and key customers
- Represent the President in meetings and ensure proper follow-up on action items.
Project and Initiative Management:
- Drive the successful execution of critical projects and initiatives within the North America region.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Develop project plans, track progress, and provide regular status updates to the President.
- Identify potential roadblocks and implement contingency plans as needed.
Operational Excellence:
- Optimize processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain systems and structures to support seamless workflow between the President’s direct reports and their functions.
- Locate opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations.
Team Development and Leadership:
- Work with the regional head of people and the learning & development team to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team culture within the President’s office.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the President’s direct reports.
- Promote open communication, accountability, and continuous learning.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in a senior executive support role or strategic advisory capacity.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mentality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to develop engaging visual presentations that convey complex projects, programs and decisions to a range of business partners
- Confirmed project management skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Unwavering integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with utmost professionalism.
Additional Details
- Salary Range: $210,000-$240,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado & California market data and may vary in other locations)
- This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
- Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
