Description:

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data management or other relevant discipline.
  • Recognized and respected in building and developing high performing teams across a multi-market operating footprint.
  • 12 years plus relevant experience in Data Management with minimum 10 years leading a technical and/or operational data teams.
  • Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director or similar senior leadership role leading teams across multiple countries
  • Creative and innovative thinker, who can envision, design and deliver new developments in data management solutions, workflow tools, and effective processes, leading to increased client value creation.
  • Client focused with proven track record of establishing and building trusted relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of Data Supply Chain Processing and related competencies including Analysis, Data Science, Quality reporting and AI
  • Experienced in partnering and collaborating with business functions and operating within a matrix environment.
  • An established leadership brand, inquisitive learning style and know how to lead teams to unlock the potential of all players.
  • Excellent communication skills, program and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The VP, Data & Operations is responsible for the operational excellence of the European data supply chain environment, including the execution of cross-functional and internal projects that involve designing and building enterprise grade data & insights. The scope of accountabilities will include organizational design, standardization, incorporating new technology to support the scale of the function, innovation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiencies.
The VP will demonstrate passion and expertise for leading strategic regional initiatives that drive ongoing transformation of the data landscape, further competitive differentiation and fuel new business analytic capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead regional teams of data & operational experts and execution managers to standardize data through the creation of operational excellence in the use of best of breed technology.
  • Grow and develop high performing teams enabling individuals to realize their personal and professional aspirations through ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
  • Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
  • Reviews all system development project requests and coordinates related team activities; meets with business stakeholders and other technical teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data and looks for continuous improvement opportunities through automation and simplification of all current activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, and operations, to align data initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate data strategies, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders.
