About the Role
RPM is seeking a Vice President - Engineering, Mining, Geology (EMG) to lead, manage and contribute to our advisory business in the Americas, one of our fastest growing regions globally, servicing a broad variety of financiers and mining clients across all major commodities and increasingly the battery and critical mineral supply chain.
This role will be responsible for executing the global Advisory strategy through consulting engagements and the day-to-day management of the EMG disciplines. It will lead the delivery of premium EMG consulting services to RPM’s international client base with a focus on the Americas region as well as collaborating with industry leading experts around the world.
This role holds a business development aspect and is expected to maintain and grow existing client networks, develop and implement marketing strategies, and help develop advisory opportunities within the Americas beyond the current established market offerings.
To be considered for this role, you will be qualified in one of the EMG disciplines and have had operational experience in your career. You would have led high-performing technical teams in a consulting environment and established a culture of high-quality standards. You will be a strong project manager with a proven track record of managing multiple consulting projects to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
The role will be based either in Vancouver or Toronto. Domestic and international travel may be required as part of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the EMG team, developing a high-performing work culture to an exceptional quality standard.
- Contribute to the achievement of regional revenue and contribution targets.
- Project management of client projects in a manner that meets timeframes, budgets and client needs.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies related to EMG growth service lines.
- Identify and lead the development of new business income streams.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality mining consulting services by conducting thorough reviews of technical reports, proposals, and other deliverables.
- Undertake quality assurance, including proofing, on major reports on behalf of other team members.
