DESCRIPTION

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks to fill the position of Vice President, Full Stack Developer in New York, NY.
Design, implement, enhance, and support the key risk indicator system used by the firm’s global Institutional Securities and Investment Management businesses. Perform complete server-side component development and client-facing user interface (UI) work. Work as a hands-on Agile squad member. Perform data modelling for key risk indicator system architecture. Implement micro-services with event-driven approaches.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $192000 and $200000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or related occupation in the field. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Server-side Java; Spring framework; HTML5; ReactJS/Angular; Java programming; relational database platforms including: Sybase, Postgress; data modeling; data analysis; software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes; Agile methodology (Scrum); leading developer teams; and DevOps practices.
Requires two (2) years of experience with: OOD/OOP; algorithms / data structures; Modern design patterns; TDD; micro-service; and service oriented architecture.
Requires one (1) year of experience with: building scalable systems with high volume of data; managing global technology teams; leading technical strategy; driving technology delivery; and interfacing with a global team of stakeholders and working with senior clients.
