JOB DESCRIPTION

Global Security provides comprehensive security services to protect the firm’s people and assets. Global Security comprises the following functions: Corporate Security, Retail Security, Technical Security & Alarm Monitoring, Crisis Management and the Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs); Workforce Screening; Investigations, Threat Detection & Analysis, and Global Intelligence.
As a Control Manager in Global Security, you will be responsible for: identification/assessment of risks; design/development of controls; control breaks and resolution, including issue and action plan management; and control governance & reporting. As the Global Security Control Manager for APAC, you will be the point of contact for control, compliance, audit, and regulatory engagements in the region.
This position leads the regional control and regulatory management aspects for all processes within Global Security in Asia Pacific. This coverage is to ensure firm wide oversight over all GS areas across the Asia Pacific region, providing transparency as well as challenges to ensure robust internal and regulatory compliance.
An important part of the role is relationship management, working with relevant product and location managers, and key control stakeholders in the region, tracking all regulatory and compliance matters requiring attention to ensure accurate reporting of status and actions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience working with internal and external policies, standards and processes.
  • Understanding compliance & operational risk.
  • Exposure to engagement with financial and non-financial regulators and regulation.
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders; partners to help in addressing risk and control matters.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and effective under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Global Security partners in assessing risks and controls, identifying, and remediating issues, and enhancing the control environment.
  • Working effectively with the second and third lines of defense to support audits, exams, and other reviews, and to address risk and control issues.
  • Managing ongoing execution within, and enhancements to the GS Risk Assessment Structure in CORE, facilitating adherence to firmwide standards and timelines.
