EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 15+ years’ experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience internal senior management level role; or 5+ years’ external experience in a senior management level role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing one or more departments.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Background in Supply Chain IT systems.
  • Background in regulatory filings and reporting for the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Background in adverse event management, defect tracking and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing innovative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in establishing positive relationships with various IT Functions.
  • Demonstrated skills in establishing positive relationships with various levels of management within a multi-divisional corporation.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for the development, deployment, and support of Supply Chain Systems, Applications and Products technologies to meet operational and strategic business goals of FME. Significantly interface with the Global Supply Chain function of Care Enablement and other Corporate and Divisional Business Functions in determining user requirements and efficacy of deployed solutions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the capital and expense budget planning, development, deployment, and support of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Supply Chain functions and technologies. Responsible for implementing application best practices, and maintaining currency with software release levels.
  • Participates in the development of architectures and technologies for supporting FME business directions.
  • Assists in software and consulting vendor negotiations and the development of contracts.
  • Responsible for the development of organizational structures, staffing.
  • Actively interface with the Care Enablement Global Supply Chain to support global systems implementation.
  • On a contingent basis is expected to manage other IT developmental projects as determined by the CIO. Projects could span vertically integrated business segments, including Clinical Services.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partnering with Human Resources on employee relations issues.
  • Serves as a representative of the organization to external customers. Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve highly visible activities which may include speaking to or negotiating with customers, influencing other executives and/or academics, lobbying regulators or policy makers and representing the organization on matters of great significance.
  • Provide technical guidance.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned.
