Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners, and advisers across EMEA. We provide sophisticated front-end technology and flexible middle office capabilities with execution, settlement, and custody services. These are supported by a robust regulatory and compliance framework with dedicated client asset experience and expertise.
Pershing EMEA is expanding its range of capabilities available through its Irish entity, Pershing Securities International Limited (PSIL) located in Dublin, Ireland. To that effect, Pershing is recruiting for an Electronic Equities Trader to trade on an agency basis, covering institutional BNY Mellon and Pershing clients based in the EU Pershing Trading Services Ireland desk (PTSI).

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Have in depth experience trading electronic equity markets across the globe.
Understand EU trading rules and trading mechanisms, and market structure.
Monitor connections from vendors to exchanges, testing for on boarding of new clients as well as assisting the tech team with the migration of clients to trading.
Maintain and build relationships among clients and brokers.
Monitor market movements. Manages risk within the trading desk. Consults with clients on appropriate execution strategy.
Execute highly complex and large orders in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner.
Liaise with clients, counterparties, and support regarding the lifecycle of a trade.
Facilitate orders for internal departments and/or clients in the context of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity events.
Work orders in the marketplace utilising sophisticated Pershing supplied and vendor managed trading algorithms and Smart Order Routers
Work consultatively throughout the day with clients on order strategy execution.
Maintain and cultivate client, vendor, broker, and internal trading desk relationships.
Assist in resolution of post trade date, settlement issues.
Collaborate across multiple internal stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
Core Assets Traded
Global electronic equities, including quote driven UK and Irish equities.
Global electronic ETFs.
Fixed income rates/credit (not a pre-requisite but preferable to have)
This P/CF role will be subject to your ongoing compliance, to our satisfaction, with the Central Bank’s fitness and probity standards and any other applicable requirements relevant to your role

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

QFA Qualification or equivalent is preferred
Vast electronic equity trading, with high level knowledge of algorithmic trading, Smart Order Routing, and dark trading
In depth knowledge of global equity market nuances, on a per country basis.
Professional certificate in stockbroking is preferred.
T7 ISE qualification is desirable.
