Description:

Based in Winnipeg, TDG is seeking a Vice President, Infrastructure, Operations and Security to join our team. This role reports to the CFO and serves as a key member of TDG’s highly engaged and high-performing leadership team. As part our Shared Services Platform, supporting multiple brands in Canada and the U.S., this position works across a broad set of business and technology stakeholders to define, design and execute the business’s overall employee/user experience, technology and infrastructure strategy.
The Vice President, Infrastructure, Operations and Security (VP, IOS) is responsible for defining and driving the plan to build and evolve our infrastructure technology teams to support TDG’s current and future growth strategy. This position will provide highly reliable, secure and performant infrastructure services to support both internal and customer/end user solutions, advancing the use of modern emerging technologies (cloud, EDGE computing, IoT, automation, etc.), scaling operations and partnering closely with security and other leaders.

As the VP, IOS you will:

  • Lead all elements of the IT technology infrastructure that delivers a consistent, reliable, and optimized business and operational experience for all users as well as external providers, customers and clients.
  • Set vision and path of the IT Infrastructure, Operation and Security of the organization to maximize the success of business and IT enterprises.
  • Work with Senior Leadership and other business areas of other on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources and develop a multi-year roadmap.
  • Create and align an IOS value map by linking targeted business outcomes with the future state business capabilities required to achieve them.
  • Champion IOS involvement in the IT organization’s innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.
  • Identify, recommend, plan and execute implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Introduce innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance team member productivity.
  • Direct testing and development of procedures for disaster recovery and network and system upgrades/changes.
  • Oversee the creation of project plans, resource allocation, task definitions, project estimations, business requirements review and project/release status updates.
  • Direct the IOS sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
  • Monitor the regulatory environment’s impact on security programs and initiatives, including the examination of overall security posture and program effectiveness.
  • Champion the development and implementation of policies, standards and guidelines related to data, network and system security, disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Manage, hire and develop best-in-class IT talent to support organization’s rapid growth and increasing investment in technology.
