We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Investment Banking.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated business knowledge of IB products & coverage, and its clients Knowledge of the external environment, regulatory, political, competitor and market
• Well-developed capacity to process high volumes of complex information and synthesize key themes and issues
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with capacity to work with and influence senior teams and ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• Strong technical, financial analysis and analytical skills
• Strong presentation skills, ability to develop clear and succinct presentations and reports for senior management and governance forums
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, filter information and prioritize multiple demands
• Comfortable and at ease with working in a matrix environment

• The role holder will be assigned responsibility to cover IB verticals within Global Banking and will partner with the Asia IB CCO teams, leads and regional risk teams
• Work with IB South Asia Head and IB CCO Asia Pacific, and product heads to facilitate the provision of timely and insightful business performance data that supports strategy execution, based on globally consistent metrics and data sources, and informed by local market dynamics and local geopolitical developments
• Oversee effectiveness of Group, Global Banking and MSS aligned support and control functions for IB, including offshore, third party operations, business continuity and resilience
• Ensure a robust operational risk environment regionally, where the business operates in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations, ensure compliance with regulatory mandated local variances, and apply appropriate and effective governance frameworks
• Drive adoption of globally consistent policies, procedures and practices, including the adoption of common Information Technology systems
• Promote a positive people agenda across IB, one that results in a culture and behaviours that embody the company’s purpose, values and conduct pillars
• When required engage appropriately with regulators on behalf of IB, in full partnership with Regulatory Compliance and relevant Global Banking and Group colleagues
• Focus on outcomes that promote a positive client experience, with a particular focus on ease-of-doing-business
• Work with global, regional and country colleagues to build a collaborative culture that drives continuous improvement and business innovation, constructively challenging outdated and inefficient practices
