Description:
Job Purpose: The Vice President Leadership Skills Development and Diversity & Inclusion will be required to define, design and implement entry level to executive skills development strategy across the Emirates Group. They will be responsible for the structured provision of a suite of professional and leadership skills development programmes and processes. It will be aimed at enhancing the capabilities of staff, leaders and managers across the Emirates Group’s diversified businesses both for the short term and in preparation for future organisational growth. The role is responsible for groupwide education on good practice in Diversity and Inclusion, delivering on the strategic people priorities of The Emirates Group and its shareholders.
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Strategy Development: develop and implement a vision for leadership and skill development across the Emirates Group. Create and oversee leadership and skills development programs tailored to various levels within the organization, from emerging leaders to senior executives, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and workforce needs.
- Continuous improvement: stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in leadership and skill development to ensure the Emirates Group remains at the forefront of industry practices.
- Partnerships: Manage key relationships with senior Group leadership, external partners and relevant UAE Government entities. Collaborate with department heads to identify critical skill gaps and create targeted training solutions.
- Cross-functional strategic collaboration: Design and support the implementation of talent management processes in close collaboration with Succession Planning and Performance Management functions.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Continually promote good practice in Diversity & Inclusion through innovative education programmes and campaigns in close alignment with The Group and Shareholder people strategy.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide meaningful coaching and mentoring opportunities for experienced and emerging leaders to support them excelling in role.
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability within the leadership and skill developmentfunctions, ensuring that cutting edge learning technology is embedded in development experiences.
- Programme governance: Utilising global best practices, continuously monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making data-driven improvements.Leading a team: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of training professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes excellence and accountability.

- Learning Impact and Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through performance metrics and feedback, strengthening learning solutions as necessary. Implement corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings and feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification in a Human Resources related field, preferably in training and development
- 12+ years professional experience in Strategic Learning Leadership and Human Resources.
- Expertise in curriculum and programme design and implementation
- Experience in evaluation and governance of learning programmes
- Experience in dealing with world class Business Schools
- Strong in relationship management and engagement with external consultants
- Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD, SHRM) is highly desirable.
