Description:
Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working in a multi-regional team of aircraft and engine leasing technical professionals to provide material support of CALC’s owned and managed aircraft assets that are on lease globally;
- Coordinating and facilitating pricing support for CALC’s Commercial team during used aircraft marketing campaigns.
- Coordinating engineering responses to support for CALC’s Commercial team during used aircraft marketing campaigns.
- Exercising efficient and effective materials planning commercial management of aircraft transition projects and ensuring successful budgeting, cost control and execution.
- Developing, drafting, updating and implementation of departmental policies and procedures as required to support an effective materials planning programme.
- Undertaking and overseeing the negotiation of General Terms Agreements with vendors, maintenance providers and other service providers as required.
- Maintaining effective and professional relationships with technical counterparts at OEMs, service providers and other leasing companies;
- Performing ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company.
- The ability to travel worldwide often at short notice.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in an appropriate technical procurement role in an Aircraft Leasing, Airline or MRO with a Business Degree or equivalent.
- Ideally managerial experience with a knowledge of building small effective teams and systems, processes and procedures for materials, engineering, BFE procurement and vendor management.
- Responsibility for procurement budgeting
- Developed relationships with best in class vendors, shipping agents and freight forwarders, end user certification and vendor credit approvals.
- Liaison with Customer Configuration and Lease Transition support within Airbus and Boeing for technical specification and transition of used aircraft.
- Management of Procurement System budgets, initiation of PO’s and clearing invoices from suppliers and contractors.
- Ability to support senior management in the implementation of corporate strategy and achievement of business goals with an effective strategy around material procurement.
- Proven ability to manage material procurement within a global aircraft leasing technical team for on time on budget delivery.
- Proven history of successful material project management of used aircraft deliveries/redeliveries. Experience of managing projects in the Americas, EMEA, and South East Asia will be considered advantageous.
- Able to work under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in English language skills, spoken and written.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe PDF.
