Role Summary
This role is an important member of our Patient Solutions Leadership Team. The VP of Consulting, Data Science will leverage ConcertAI data and other patient-level data sets, including EMR, claims, labs, and other data, as well as ConcertAI platforms and accelerators, to design, develop and execute high-impact analytic solutions and analysis for our pharmaceutical clients. Focusing on the patient for in-market therapies, our goal is to support our clients in understanding and improving the patient therapy journey as it relates to all commercial stakeholders; Brand, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and growth of consulting practice leading the vision, direction, and solution offering of the practice
  • Engage with client stakeholders and lead discussions for translating business problems into project work
  • Lead a team of analysts, manage client needs, and implement analytic solutions to solve client pain points
  • Develop and present client proposals for business development activities, responsible for development of scopes of work including project budgets and timelines
  • Oversee project execution using statistical and data mining techniques on large data sets to identify trends, outcomes and other relevant information, and oversee the quality of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with clients to effectively communicate analysis findings through delivery of presentations and interactions with clients.
  • Lead development of consulting offerings and accelerators that create scale
  • Contribute to thought leadership through publication, conference presentations, and research
  • Present to senior management, communicate results to business teams, and develop plans to help operationalize analytic solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in AI/Machine Learning, data science, statistics, mathematics, or in a related discipline
  • 10 years’ experience either in commercial life sciences (e.g. market access, commercial analytics), or prior experience in management consulting for life sciences
  • Experience building and leading teams in a fast paced, entrepreneurial setting
  • Experience analyzing pharmaceutical and medical claims data (e.g. IQVIA, Symphony, or other syndicated data providers). Experience with EMR data highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to ‘translate’ between the data and the business, via layman’s terminology of complex analytical methods
  • A strong interest in analyzing and interpreting structured and unstructured data, drawing conclusions, and building strategic insights for the client based on quantitative and qualitative research.
