GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Ascension DePaul Services of New Orleans (DCSNO) affiliates with DCHC which manages multiple Federally Qualified Health Center locations in the Greater New Orleans area. DCSNO is committed to improving the health status of communities and continues a long tradition of health ministry. DCSNO is seeking a full-time Vice President of Operations.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) this position is responsible for the management and daily operations of DePaul Community Health Center Primary Care Clinics, in clinic and school based medical centers. The Vice President of Operations works in concert with the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Medical Officer to achieve strategic and operational objectives. This person is accountable for practice culture and engagement, management and staff development, and for recruitment and retention of clinic staff. The Vice President of Operations collaborates with peers, clinical leadership, and a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure practices are operating optimally, continue to grow in the demographics, and are in compliance with regulatory bodies. This person works closely with the Vice President of Clinical Integration to ensure tight relationships and integrated operations with all clinic support programs (i.e. Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, etc.). They will maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly scorecards and is accountable for clinical, financial, and operational performance of all primary care clinics. The Vice President of Operations is an integral contributor to DePaul Community Health Centers leadership and is responsible for working in concert with colleagues and physician partners to achieve the strategic objectives for the medical clinics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, preferably in a health related field
  • Seven years’ experience in physician practice management and in multi-site practices
  • Proven track record of outstanding achievement in fiscal management/cost control, practice development, strategic planning and staff leadership
  • Demonstrated skill in communicating with and relating to physicians, including the ability to establish a productive and cohesive partnership with physicians
  • Successful track record of standardizing operations across multiple clinics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten or more years of experience in physician practice management and in multi-site practices
  • Experience in community healthcare industry preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for financial and operational performance of primary care virtual and brick and mortar businesses.
  • Serves as dyad-partner with medical leads in the practices to develop plans for the execution of operational, growth, and quality goals.
  • Implement strategies to improve patient and team member engagement.
  • Ensure high quality patient care and services, including management of patient flow/access, coordination of ancillary services, and enhancement of patient support and service improvement.
  • Serve as liaison at DePaul Community Health Centers for Primary Care related research projects, initiatives, and programs.
  • Meet regularly with Clinical teams and other special program staff to support primary care activities and achievement of shared program goals and/or grant deliverables.
  • Helps drive integration of key services within the clinics – Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Community Health Workers, and Insurance Navigation services.
  • Work collaboratively to implement population health and value based care initiatives.
  • Maintain clinic performance scorecards and assist in development/implementation of improved metrics.
  • Identifies long-term market and technology trends and strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
